‘Wait on the Lord’ or ‘Plaguel Cadence’ written by my good friend Harriet Bushman, who lives in Kuwait, is a reminder that wherever we live, we are all in this present situation together. It also reminds us that as musicians we share a unique bond; in harmony, in rhythm, and in our passion for something that makes the world a better place.
Harriet and I hadn’t seen each other since a brief moment after a Sixteen concert in London over a year ago, so it was good to be in touch again when Covid-19 closed down our usual choral activities. I am glad that I was able to support Harriet and her husband Richard as they entered the world of Zoom choirs with this project. Maybe one day I will get to meet some of these good people.
