About me

Simon Berridge

has more than 35 years of experience as a classical singer, choir director, vocal mentor and teacher. 

Simon is a music graduate and choral scholar from Trinity College Cambridge.

 He is a member of the award winning ensemble ‘The Sixteen’ and has toured extensively with the group throughout the world.

 He leads numerous workshops and singing days for choirs both for adults and children, and is a tutor and mentor for the Sixteen’s Genesis training Scheme for young professional singers.

 

 

My story

Simon has a passion for Music Education and this has led to him to tutoring, mentoring and helping many musicians who have made their way into the profession. He also has led choirs and workshops from Worcester to Wellington, New Zealand.
Simon has recorded and performed extensively both as a soloist and as consort and ensemble singer. He has sung with most of the foremost British Ensembles including The Sixteen and has also worked in Europe with ensembles such as Collegium Vocales. He also has an extensive oratorio portfolio and has performed throughout Europe.

Community Choir

Simon has conducted a number of choirs ranging from Chamber Choirs to Choral societies and Community Choirs. He says “ Singing in choirs is not only fun, but also gives its members a sense of belonging that is immeasurable. If you can offer a truly musical experience as well, then you are on to a winner”.
